Crystal Yan is a results-driven product and experience design leader focused on transforming organizations to be more customer-centric, and designing meaningful product and service experiences with behavioral design and artificial intelligence.
As an independent consultant for innovators in the technology, nonprofit, healthcare, and education sectors, Crystal advises clients such as the DC Mayor's Office Summer Youth Employment Program, Real Talk, a technology nonprofit transforming health education through storytelling, and Rise, an international civil rights NGO that passed the Survivor's Bill of Rights in Congress and 11 state legislatures. Currently, Crystal is a Product Manager and Designer with the United States Digital Service, a startup at within the federal government using design and technology to deliver better government services to the American people. Previously, Crystal led the Design team and new product development at FiscalNote, a software startup transforming how organizations interact with governments worldwide. Crystal holds a degree in Economics from Amherst College and has worked in the US, India, China, and Cambodia.
